Home made jams!
OK… I’ll admit it – I buy commercial jams too!
That being said – I LOVE making my own jams. They are not just a wonderful way to preserve fruits but also make wonderfully sweet sandwiches for the kids (err… I’m a big kid too – right?), a quick snack if you want something sweet, wonderful filling for sponge cakes and so on. Of course you can make candies out of (most of) the jams.
I’m not an expert in jam making – and unlike the experts that make large batches that last for years – I’d prefer making small batches without the fuss of sterilizing my containers. I just store my jams in the refrigerator till I’m done with these and make a new batch from the current seasonal fruits I have at hand!
